About the Artist
Jill Sherring
Jill was born and raised in Provost, Alberta for the first 18 years of her life, then moved to Medicine Hat to further her education. She attended Medicine Hat College and has earned her degree in Visual Communications in 2006. Visual Communications is a program that explores graphic design and the fine arts.
Currently, the artist is staying home enjoying time off from her graphic design career as a new mom, and spending her free time creating new art in different mediums & styles. Other activities she enjoys are spending time with her family, taekwondo and gardening.
Jill’s abstract, or non-representational paintings began early in 2006 as a way of feeling freedom in her artwork, without any constrictions of subject or theme.
