Piano tuner and technician Aaron Bischoff of Edmonton for Piano Action Inc. gets to work on the grand piano at the Provost United Church on Thursday morning, March 19. The tuning was completed in time for the Provost Music Festival which began Sunday, March 22. “Grands are pretty nice to work on” Bischoff told The News. “It’s a real art,” turning pianos. Friday morning, March 20 he worked on an upright piano at Central Lutheran Church. He says the work is a “dying trade” as there’s no schooling and it’s learned by mentorship.
