M.D. 52 Earmarks More Money for Proposed Activity Centre
The regular meeting of the Municipal District of Provost No. 52 for September was held Thursday, September 13, with all councillors present. This is an unapproved summary of the meeting.

Council authorized the following:

To contribute an additional $1.4 million to the proposed Provost Regional Activity Centre in addition to the money already committed in motion No. 05/522 which read: to cost share 50/50 between the Town of Provost and the Provost & District Recreation Area up to $2,000.000 each towards the indoor multi-use recreation facility with the condition that at least an additional $1,000,000 is raised through community fundraising.

To enter into a texas gate agreement to allow the installation of a texas gate on Range Road 72 between Sections SW-3-40-7 W4 and NW-34-39-7 W4.

To accept the tender of $526 plus GST for the aluminum fishing boat with trailer; the tender of $125 plus GST for the 1982 Blue Dodge Pickup VIN 1B7GD14T-4DS414356 and the tender of $250 plus GST for the 1985 Green Dodge pickup VIN 1B7HW14T1FS701102.

Council and administration to attend the councillor orientation session in Flagstaff, October 29.
Special Areas to extend high speed coverage to residents in the south central area of the municipality.

To enter into a Municipal Sustainability Initiative Capital Project Funding memorandum of agreement with Alberta Municipal Affairs and Housing.

Allocate 50 percent of the M.D. of Provost No. 52 Municipal Sponsorship Grant eligibility to the Provost rescue van chassis purchase and to allocate 50 percent to the Hughenden rescue van chassis purchase.

Table indefinitely the request for sponsorship of the Saskatchewan High School Athletic Girls provincial volleyball championships.

Relax the Land Use Bylaw to allow a shop to be constructed within the RBI district on lot 1A, block 1, plan 0420473 from the required 50 feet setback to a minimum setback of 25 feet to the east property line.
