Grinch Slices Into Christmas Spirit
The Grinch has done physical and emotional damage, slicing into private Christmas decorations in a Provost yard on Saturday.

Cindy Parkin who lives with her husband Ray and their two young children just north of the Provost Health Centre says that they had four blow up Christmas toys damaged when someone cut them, leaving behind ‘L’ shaped slashes. The wind was not a factor she adds.

The family put up the decorations in their yard on Saturday, November 21 and on Saturday, December 5 they were vandalized.

Seven year old Kassidy asked “Why would they do that Mom?”

Cindy says that this act “disappoints everybody” since so many children, strangers and others enjoy looking at their decorated yard. “People always stop and look in the crescent” says Parkin.

As far as she knows none of her neighbours nearby had decorations vandalized and wonders if they were somehow targeted (and if so, why).

The mother of two notes that they also decorate their yard during other times of the year.

Kassidy says that “now my Christmas is wrecked.”
