Macklin Area Potential Site
for Wind Turbines

Energy company BluEarth Renewables Inc. is performing wind studies near Macklin as it looks into installing up to 19 new wind turbines at an estimated $175 million in private investment. The new units are expected to look similar to the company’s Bull Creek wind farm (a few of the units are pictured here) northeast of Provost where 17 turbines have been generating power since after their installation in 2015, communications advisor Erin Roberts of BluEarth Renewables told The News. Due to “many technological advances in turbine technology we are now able to produce more energy with fewer turbines than we could previously.” ©Provost News Photo.
