New Chair Lift Installed in Provost Museum

Louise Schug of the Provost & District Museum demonstrates a new chair lift installed on the stairs in the facility recently. Carol Landmark for the museum told The News that the new equipment which was bought within budget will make the second floor of the museum “more accessible for visitors with mobility issues. An additional remote control will also make the lift useful for ‘freighting’ some heavier items — up to a maximum of 400 pounds — up or down.” Photo submitted.
