Aiming for the Win

Discers take aim in Bodo during a fun night hosted by the Bodo Discing League on Monday night, November 3. Nine teams were playing while many nearby enjoyed socializing and watching the activities. Asked how far back discing goes in Bodo, one of the organizers Brenda Heck told The News that “We’re talking decades . . . ’60s probably.” League play is one night a week and will have 12 to 14 teams signed up. “It was great to see so many young faces and people joining our league.” The Ladies Western Canadian Discing Championship is to be held in Bodo on Friday evening, November 7 and Saturday, November 8.
