“I Love Canada” Says Petition Organizer

Just one of the 230,000 people putting pen to paper for a petition so far is Tieran Folkins (centre) of Provost. He walked into the Provost Municipal Library on Friday afternoon, October 3 to sign it. It asks ‘Do you agree that Alberta should remain in Canada?’ At left is Louise Gunn of Daysland, Alta. being helped out by Mary Lehmann of Edmonton. Gunn told The News “I love Canada — and I understand that there are issues. There’s problems.” But the way to fix it is from within the confederation, she says.
